It is usually expressed in one sentence but can be developed and clarified over thecourse of several sentences. A thesis statement is not, however, an entire introductoryparagraph; introductory paragraphs are built from the foundation of a thesis statement.A solid thesis statement will usually do FOUR things:1. Express a single idea. Imply or assert your conclusions about the issue/subject you have chosen (this istypically difficult to do until after you have written the paper)..FORMATTING AND SUBMITTING YOUR WORK:For each thesis statement you craft, ensure that you indicate which option you are workingwith. Your document should feature five separate entries, each bearing a heading that conveysthe topic or statement taken from the instructions.Please ensure that your work is double spaced, uses 12pt. font uniformly across the documentand is presented in a Word document (NO PDFs please), so that we are able to mark up yourwork with in-line edits and feedback.
