Final Paper Draft Review
A successful final draft of any paper should be the product of brainstorming, outlining, and writing multiple drafts. This assignment will prepare you for the Final Paper in Week 6 and allow you to become acquainted with the resources in the Ashford Writing Center. Ashford Writing Center is a free service to students, offering writing resources, live chat support, and feedback on paper submissions.
Purpose: The primary goal of this assignment is to engage you in a paper review and revision process with the support of a writing specialist. The outcome of this assignment is a draft of the Final Paper due in Week 6.
Instructions:
•Create a working thesis and introduction.
•Create a draft of all required sections outlined below.
•Summarize your draft with a conclusion paragraph.
•Submit your draft to the Ashford Writing Center and to Waypoint.
Your paper will be returned by the Ashford Writing Center within 24-48 hours of submission. A tracking number beginning with “ntp” will be included at the top of your reviewed paper with feedback from the Ashford Writing Center. You will be prompted to share this ticket number in a Week 5 discussion.
Prepare: Look ahead at the Week 6 Final Paper. Carefully review the “ABC Athletics Co.” case scenario and make note of each required sections in the Talent Management Plan outline. Begin with an outline and include all of the headings and subheadings. Craft a thesis and introduction. For your assignment, write a six- to seven-page draft (excluding the title and references page) of the Final Paper. The draft should contain a working thesis, an introduction, at least a partial draft of each required section of the final paper, and a conclusion.

•Evaluate two to three specific recruiting methods.

•Evaluate selection methods and develop a plan for interview process.

•Explain components of the onboarding and orientation program.

•Formulate a strategy on performance assessment.
Succession Planning
•Develop a succession plan for the organization.
Talent Retention
•Develop a retention strategy for the organization.
Reflect: Carefully review the revision letter and the margin comments provided by the writing specialist. In Week 5, you will be asked to reflect upon your experience with the Ashford Writing Center.
Revise: Once you have received feedback from the writing specialist, revise your paper, as necessary. Continue the writing process until your document meets the requirements of the Week 6 Final Paper.
Final Paper Rough Draft Review
•Must be six to seven double-spaced pages in length (not including the title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

•Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.

•Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.

Case Scenario from week 6 to be used in this outline:
The mid-sized company, ABC Athletics Co., is now experiencing sales growth and will need to hire additional employees to keep up with demand. The organization experienced an increase in turnover rates among production workers in the past five years and expects it to continue over the next three years. ABC Athletics Co. also expects to lose 10% of its workforce through retirement. It is apparent that the talent management process needs improvement and the organization must be better prepared to respond to short-term and long-term changes in the workforce. As the HR director, you recognize the need for a new, comprehensive, and integrated talent management approach.
