This week, you may choose to watch one of two documenatry choices- Jonestown or Freedom Riders.
Both documentaries touch on the power of the situation and intergroup dynamics. However, Jonestown is a powerful example of what can happen when social influence can lead people to engage in harmful behavior. Freedom Riders illustrates an example from the Civil Rights movement of how group identity can contribute to powerful social action and social change.
