Useful Find Another Source 02 Paper Presentation
Due: Week 05 Monday, 09/24/18
Students pick an illustrator and research the inspirations and impacts on the illustrator’s life that influenced style and subject matter. Then write a report/paper with bibliography and examples of the illustrator’s work. Each student is also required to create an illustration using the style/technique of the illustrator and the subject matter that is the signature of the illustrator.
Formulate and/or respond to (a)question(s), determine a strategy, and formulate a methodology to examine the inquiry question(s). Inquiry questions will be relevant to cultivating connections to illustrator’s influences through media and messages clearly seen in his/her works.
Identify and explore existing knowledge relevant to the question. This can be done through research on scholarly information such as articles and journals, case studies, and other sources.
Analyze, evaluate, and synthesizeinformation from source(s) to support your inquiry project. By creating an annotated bibliography explaining how each source helps to answer your inquiry question. (If the source isn’t useful find another source).
Draw independent conclusion(s) that integrate(s) new information about cultivating connections to illustrator’s influences through media and messages clearly seen his/her works. Type your conclusion.
Communicate findings by formally presenting the results of the inquiry project through a combination of a written report with annotated bibliography of research findings and conclusion, an oral presentation of selected illustrator’s influences and clear messages that are seen through illustrations, and creation of a new illustration that embodies illustrator’s style and/or technique, or messages that he tried to portray clearly throughout his illustrations.
