Titles Like Core Iran Expansion And Role Of Reli
Please write a research proposal on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region politics (I would like the proposal to be about Iran expansion in Middle-east at Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Yemen and how Iran uses religion for political agendas). The proposal should include the following points:
1- The title of your paper.
Remember that the title is the shortest summary of your paper.
2- Research question: What do I want to know?
The research question(s) is the starting point and thread of the paper. The research question (s) may be used as the hierarchical structure for the paper (core research question for the whole paper, sub-questions for the chapters). A common problem is that scope of the question is often too broad in the beginning. Try to focus on what you really want to say and be aware of the fact that the research question has to be reevaluated while writing the paper.
3- Literature: What is known already? (Annotated bibliography)
Give an overview of the most important books and articles regarding the subject. A minimum of 8 reputable sources is required for this paper. Reputable sources include books, scholarly journal articles, and informed analyses by think tanks and experts (e.g., International Crisis Group, but NOT Wikipedia). For guidelines on how to evaluate sources see the Cornell University Library guide to critically review information. Available at (http://www.library.cornell.edu/olinuris/ref/research/skill26.htm). If you will use additional sources, please list them at the end of your annotated bibliography. Make sure to use full citations.
Describe and summarize in your own words each book, article, or document you plan to use briefly (150-200 words). Say why the source is relevant and how it will fit in your paper.
Write a short paragraph at the end of the annotated bibliography in which you critically review the state of research in your field, show the debates and open questions, and discuss how the current state of research affects your paper.
4- Procedure: What needs to be done?
Describe the materials and methodologies you will use. This part of the proposal is speculative, but might be helpful while writing the paper.
5- Provisional table of contents: What does the paper cover?
Write a provisional table of contents and give reasons why you chose a certain structure (e.g. chronological over thematic). Use your sub-questions to define your chapters. The titles of the chapters should be significant (no titles like “core part”, “general information” or “background” etc. (exemptions are “introduction” and “conclusion”)). The reader should get an overview of the paper by reading the outline.
