Technical Writing

* This assignment has two parts. Effective writing is relatively free of technical errors in grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and usage. Effective communication has clear content, and technical errors can interrupt the flow of ideas as well as affect the credibility of your writing.  To start out this course, this assignment will assess your technical skills with an online test and a writing sample.Part I: Diagnostic TestComplete a quick grammar diagnostic quiz. Go to https://www.niu.edu/writingtutorial/grammar/quizzes/GrammarSelfTest.htm

        * Note your results: 13 questions and you receive feedback after each question.
* Tip:  Read the answers out loud. Many times, you will hear what answer sounds correct.Part II: Writing SampleDiscuss your experience with the on line diagnostic test.  Your response should address the following questions.  Your response to each of the questions should be specific and 3-5 sentences in length.
