It could help in clarifying your thoughts and in making your exposition clearer if you use it as a model. Of course, this model will not be fully useful in all situations, but you can certainly borrow ideas from it. For example, in a government, there is no competitive advantage for selling the product, but there may be competition with the private sector for hiring employees.
