Spread out over the semester, your active reading log entries will help you and the class consider our discussions and readings in more depth. Your entries (200-400 words) should respond to our course readings by analyzing, comparing, and contrasting how various authors understand and respond to some aspect of our class discussions. For this particular log, I ask that you respond to Chapter 11: Narrating from your textbook Let’s Talk (pp. 186-202). Questions to consider: What does this chapter tell you about the phrase “rhetorical situation”? What techniques does the student paper use that could be useful when you go to write your own literacy narrative? What other things stood out to you from this section?
