You may not admit it, but you are interesting. Every single one of us has experienced events in our lives that have helped shape us into the individuals we have become. Admit it. You have experienced failures; you have experienced successes. These occurrences, of course, may not have created earth-shattering situations. But they were important to you.
For this essay, you will focus on a moment in your life which led to your growth as an individual. This growth could have resulted in minor changes; it could have led to major ones. Whatever the case may be, make sure it is a situation in which you create a narrative and give strong, interesting details.
In writing this essay, keep the following details in mind:
- Create that narrative about yourself; including people who influenced you is fine, yet do not stay focused on them.
- Compose the essay in a multi-paragraph format.
- Open with an introductory paragraph that sets up the situation and establishes the thesis for your situation.
- Develop details in the body paragraphs (at least, three) that follow through examples, imagery, illustrations, descriptions, and ideas.
- Let your thoughts about situations enhance the narrative.
- Make sure the details follow through within a sequence.
- Use transitions to bridge thoughts and details.
- Do not use second person.
- Conclude with a concluding paragraph; compose the paragraph with thoughts that wrap up your insight on how this situation impacted you.
Overall, the essay is about you and this specific moment in your life.
The length of the paper will be at least three (3) full pages. You may go over that length.
Make sure you have your header and page numbering.
