ORIGINAL POST (minimum 150 words)
On page 52 in your St. Martin’s Guide, it asks you "to reflect on your experience reading and writing about a remembered event." For this post:
1. Explain how the rhetorical situation (being asked to write about something personal for an instructor and classmates you hardly know) affected your choice of an event. Describe your biggest concern. For example, was there anything you thought your reader might disapprove of or find uninteresting in your story? Were there any details you altered or left out because of the audience?
2. Then, consider how a different rhetorical situation would have changed your essay. If you had recounted this story to a friend or relative, or perhaps posted it online or in a blog, would it have changed your writing?
