Different ideologies prevailing in different eras have had various mobilization effects on university youth. Turkey has a population that has a long history with political struggles. Especially at the end of the 1950’s and beginning of the 1960’s, Turkey had become a pluralist society in which many contrasting political ideas coexisted. One of the driving forces behind this society’s politicization was the university youth, which had been regarded by the countrys founder as the guarantor of the republican regime. Like their colleagues in many other countries, Turkish students have vividly demonstrated their ability to influence national policies and developments on many occasions (Szyliowicz, 1970, p. 150). We will comparatively examine how ideological mobilization affects the cultural, economic, social and political lives of university youth and the different reflections of these elements between the ages.
In this research all types of written sources such as; articles, news, researches, documents related with our topic will be examined. Therefore, we will conduct a qualitative data collection method in our research. Our data analysis method will be case study. Real-life examples and various data will be discussed and inferences will be made. To analyze the effects of different political ideologies on university youth, we will interview journalist Orhan Bursal who lived in the 1960s. At the same time, to see the relevance of the university youth living in the 2000s in political ideology, we will conduct a monkey survey to learn which ideologies they advocated for and how they created a change in their lives. While doing our research, we will interview not only University students, but also with other university students.
