(a) Please do not summarize the readings. I’m only interested in your own thoughts about the topics that they deal with.
(b) Please use words and phrases that you would use in ordinary conversation with friends and family-members.
(c) Clear explanations of the difficulty that you’re having in understanding the readings count as good content in your writing-assignments. If you write down two or more possible interpretations of some hard-to-understand sentence, I’ll like that. I mainly want to see that you’re thinking about the writing, and this includes simply trying to understand it.
