Physical Activity Overview Dietary Writing Projec

This assignment has 2 parts.

Part-1
The first step in developing your Course Project is to make some decisions about the condition of the fake patient (Joe/Jane Patient) who you will be working to help. Invent your Patient Profile for Joe/Jane and be sure to afflict them with 1 of the top 3 most common health conditions in the U.S. today.

The patient profile should contain a brief description of the patient that would usually be obtained from an initial patient interview (fake interview with your Joe/Jane Doe Patient) and include the following information:

  1. Demographic information – area of residence, type of neighborhood, rural vs. urban, etc. (environment)
  2. Level of physical activity overview
  3. Dietary overview
  4. Lifestyle overview
  5. Social activity overview
  6. Mental Health status overview (subjective)
  7. Current patient overall health – how are they feeling? (subjective information)
  8. Pain scale level (subjective – scale 1-10, with 1 being no pain and 10 being severe pain)
  9. Quality of life score (subjective – scale 1-10, 1 being no care to live and 10 being blissfully content)
  10. A written summary of your patient’s current health status along with the information above, also indicate any red flags, or situations that may be contributing to the patient’s health status.

Part-2
For this part of the assignment, you will need to research and summarize (2-3 pages in APA format) the disease condition that Joe/Jane Patient has been afflicted with. Include the following in regards to the disease process. Be sure to cite your sources.

  1. Name of the condition and explain why you chose it.
  2. What population/age group is typically affected by this disease?
  3. What are the signs and symptoms?
  4. Identify 3 or more Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAMs) methods to supplement, treat, and prevent the disease you identified.
