Roads and ecosystems – please use assigned reading on roads in Course Materials. Consider two or three of the following questions   in your discussion:
    • Can you list some ways in which roads negatively affect plant and animal populations?
      Can you list some ways in which roads contribute to environmental pollution and degradation?
    • Do the benefits of building roads outweigh their negative environmental impact? Why or why not?
    • What are some things we can do (you may have to research that) to reduce the effect of roads on the environment?
    • What might be some ecological systems (forests, wetlands, deserts, etc.) that might be more susceptible to damage from roads?
