Grading Using Grammarly Interview Assignment

Every company has a supply chain.

For this assignment you are to select a company and interview the owner or manager. The company is to be a size where a minimum of 20 people are employed and the company has a physical location. The company may be manufacturing, product retail, or service.

The finished product is to include the following information.

  • Company name
  • Company address
  • Company website
  • Photograph of the company’s building
  • Answer to each of the following questions written in proper paragraph form. (Use Grammarly as your final product will be grading using Grammarly).
    • Describe the business and its customer demographic
    • Does the company often think about its supply chain?
    • Does the company have someone who’s responsibilities specifically include the company’s supply chain?
    • If no was the answer to the previous question, does the company consider people in purchasing, logistics, or warehousing to be involved in the company’s supply chain?
    • How would the company describe their relationship with their suppliers?
    • Have any suppliers even caused problems through deliveries that were late, inaccurate, incomplete or of poor quality? Include an example, if they are willing to share.
    • What does the company see as threats to their continued operations? This could include such items as competition, labor, taxes or tariffs, customer loyalty, customer stability, and/or supplier stability.
    • What changes has the company faced in the past couple of years and what changes could the company face in the next couple of years?
    • How have customers changed? This could include expectations, income, rude/polite, use of electronics?
  • Finish with a paragraph or two on your observations on the interview and the company.

Please conduct this interview in person. Be respectful of the person’s time and their decision to answer or not answer any of the questions. The person has the right to decide to end the interview at any time. Do not record. Take notes.

  • If you interview a person who is reluctant to answer the questions, please find someone else to interview.
