Steps to the Project Assignment 2: 5 page paper, excluding references (50 points

Taken (What is Being Done), Current Status of the Community and/or Actions,
Recommendations, and References.
Step 3: Using your outline as a guide, write your paper addressing the areas below:
Setting and Population
Describe the geographic area(s) and population(s) impacted by environmental justice.
This section should describe a specific community and population impacted by
exposure to an environmental hazardous agent. For this section, articles from general
news media sites and blogs can be used but should not be the only types of sources
used.
Source(s) of Environmental Injustice
Describe the circumstances associated with the disproportionate and unjust exposure to
the hazardous agent(s)
Effect(s) of Environmental Justice
Describe the psychological, social, physical, etc. effects of this situation
Potential Solutions (What Could be Done)
Indicate potential solutions to address this injustice, consider the role policy has or could
play in improving this situation; also what role could nongovernmental agencies play in
potential solutions?
Current State (Today)
Describe the current state of the problem in 2020 (or as recent as can be discovered
online)
Actions Taken (What is Being Done)
Contrast potential solutions to what is actually being done to address this injustice (Who
is involved, What is being done, What is the timeline, etc.)
Recommendations
Provide specific recommendations for public health agencies and other relevant parties
to provide support to the population(s) impacted and/or address the environmental
hazard at hand
References
Be sure to cite sources throughout the paper; list all sources used to write the paper in a
Reference listing, APA style preferred.
