This 2.5-3 page essay will analyze argument in Susan Glaspell’s one-act play, “Trifles.” Using both the social context around the play and at least three symbols from the play, explain the argument that the author makes on the issue of the oppression of women in her time. (This is not a summary.) Does this argument hold up in our society today? Why or why not?
