Then, describe each of the three topics that you feel is related to this quote and our class and provide real-world examples to demonstrate your understanding of each. You must provide enough detail so that someone unfamiliar with psychology would have a basic comprehension of these topics after reading your essay. Aside from the chosen quote/lyrics at the beginning, do not use any direct quotes in your paper – you should paraphrase everything into your own words. Moreover, please indicate where each of the three topics is originally discussed (e.g., provide the chapter or page number).
The most important part of this essay is demonstrating your understanding of three separate course topics (45 points). This is completely open-ended and you may choose to write about anything you like. A smaller aspect of this (10 points) is being creative and tying all three of those ideas together with your chosen quote/lyric. 5 points will also be dedicated to grammar, spelling, and clarity of content.
Essays should be 1.5 pages double-spaced, minimum, but less attention will be given to length compared to content. There are no specific format requirements (e.g., MLA, APA, etc.), but organization is important. Essays will be automatically checked for plagiarism on Canvas. Academic dishonesty will result in a 0 on this assignment, possibly the class as well, and further action potentially taken with the Office of Academic Affairs.
