You will also have an opportunity to ask questions in class on Monday March 22nd before handing in your quiz.
Detailed Directions and Requirements:
• Read this entire document before completing your Active Quiz.
• In this file, you will create 15 multiple choice questions and 5 True/False questions.
• As you create your quiz questions and answer keys, you must refer to required readings assigned from Week 1 through Week 6.
• At least five of your questions must be related to assigned readings in The Ethnic Project by Vilna Bashi Treitler. Failure to complete this requirement will result in a five-point deduction from your quiz.
• Keep your questions simple and try to address one main idea, concept or fact in each question rather than multiple ideas and facts.
• Each question must be accompanied by a completed answer key for each question along with a citation to justify the correct answer drawn from the syllabus readings.
• The answer key for each question should include these components:
• An indication of which answer is correct (e.g. A, B, C or D or True/False)
• A quote from an assigned required reading (use quotation marks) that proves that your answer is correct.
• A simple citation (Author Last Name, Year of Publication: Page Number) from the text for your quote.
• Once you have completed your questions and answer key, save and upload this document to Blackboard under “Assignments” Active Quiz #1 before Monday, March 22nd, 11:59 PM.
• CHECK YOUR WORK before handing in!
• There is a one-hour grace period for submitting your quiz. Any quiz uploaded after at 1:00 AM or later on Tuesday March 23rd will be considered late and will not be graded. If you miss the deadline, you will have an opportunity to complete Active Quiz #2.
GRADING:
• Your Active Quiz will be graded out of 100 points, as follows:
o Each multiple-choice question is worth five points and each True/False question is worth four points, for a maximum total of 95 points.

• Below, you will find the rubric that will be used to grade your work. Each checklist item is worth one point. You can use the list to check your work before handing in your quiz.
