The purpose of this book was to vindicate Paul’s call by God and the Gospel of grace

The purpose of this book was to vindicate Paul’s call by God and the Gospel of grace. No other book is as
emphatic as Galatians is that salvation is by grace and not of works. Galatians teaches that we are saved
by grace without any other mixture. You can’t mix works, keeping the law or self-righteousness, either
you are saved by grace or you are not saved at all. The churches in Galatia were formed partly of
converted Jews and partly of Gentile converts, as was generally the case.
