Data Visualization Lets Uber Week 8 Uber Data Vi

I want one paragraph for each part as feedback comment to my classmate work at the discussion. First I’ll but the classmate answer that you need to give them feedback as a response from me in this discussion and you will find an example for a Feedback answer for part 2 in the end of the order so you have the idea about what you should do.

PART 1 ( HERE YOU NEED TO WRITE ONE PARAGRAPH AS FEEDBACK FOR MY CLASSMATE ANSWER)

Data visualization is the presentation of data in a pictorial or graphical format. It enables decision-makers to see analytics presented visually, so they can grasp difficult concepts or identify new patterns. With interactive visualization, you can take the concept a step further by using technology to drill down into charts and graphs for more detail, interactively changing what data you see and how it’s processed. Data Visualization tells you the story untold. Storytelling is where social media and data visualization truly intersects. Records suggest that media networking is the sole reason behind the 90% data generated over the past two years. This certainly calls for the need to visualize data. Taking Facebook as an example, it makes it easy socializing. Have you ever wondered how does relevant content gets reflected in your news feed on Facebook? It’s all data visualization. While we log in, we accept their terms to securely store our photos, public observations, and private communications. In return, the structure that information to make it easy for us to access.

According to Simon Samuel, head of Customer Value Modeling for a large bank in the UK, “data visualization is going to change the way our analysts work with data. They’re going to be expected to respond to issues more rapidly. And they’ll need to be able to dig for more insights – look at data differently, more imaginatively. Data visualization will promote that creative data exploration”. Because of the way the human brain processes information, using charts or graphs to visualize large amounts of complex data is easier than poring over spreadsheets or reports. Data visualization is a quick, easy way to convey concepts in a universal manner – and you can experiment with different scenarios by making slight adjustments.

PART 2 ( HERE YOU NEED TO WRITE ONE PARAGRAPH AS FEEDBACK FOR MY CLASSMATE ANSWER)

How might you use data visualization to illustrate the analytics from one of the social media tools you have learned in this class?
Data visualization serves as a valuable tool in the process of analyzing and understanding data. In the case of Uber, data visualization is used to analyze and interpret map-based information, which has been regarded as the biggest and richest assets at Uber. At Uber, data visualization is instrumental in leveraging location data to create maps, diagrams, and other actionable visualization.
Data visualization can be used to illustrate the analytics from social media tools. Primarily, data visualization can be used to ingest and display data from Google Analytics. In running a digital campaign, for instance, data visualization in the form of a dashboard can be used to show the performance of the campaign by combining data points from the social media strategy and the traffic and goals specified in Google Analytics. Overall, data visualization aids in showcasing distributing data and information in a way that is engaging, impactful and creative.
What are the benefits of using data visualization to “make the case” for why digital marketing is an essential component of a business bottom line?
At Uber, data visualization is used to tell a story. Among others, data visualization lets Uber create visual narratives of a wide variety of important topics including safety, efficiency, traffic as well as Uber’s role in the public transit network. A good example of the use of data visualization at Uber was the initiative to explore how uber pool can contribute to making cities transportation more efficient. Using data visualization, Uber presented traffic per street segment with and without user pool. Consequently, it became easier to understand and realize how uber pool helped in reducing traffic and increasing efficiency.

Example for a Feedback answer for part 2:

Great summarization of Uber and their visualization. They primarily focused on using location and the mapping traffic of data as their data visualization. I agree that that Uber used data visualization to tell a story to their audience. They wanted to express safety for example and data visualization helped them narrate that. Great use of emotion content in relation to real time data analytics.
