The scope statement states precisely what is included in the project. It may also list what is outside the scope of the project. This statement provides an awareness of the specific boundaries of your improvement efforts. If you have developed a high-level process map in Section 1, 2, or 3 above, then that map might show the boundaries of the improvement efforts. This boundary will help to define your scope statement.
