I’m in group project and it about Bill C-46: Impaired Driving Laws (Alcohol & Cannabis); Quebec raising the age for cannabis use. My part is “Public perception/opinion” don’t need to make a power point, just need to answer the part. Need about two or three page of portions (power point page)

Bill C-46 would strengthen existing drug-impaired driving laws and create an impaired driving regime that would be amongst the strongest in the world. (https://www.justice.gc.ca/
proposes a revision of the provisions in a new Part of the Criminal Code to make the law more comprehensible, by simplifying and modernizing the drafting, eliminating some provisions that are unnecessary, and introducing some new provisions. The overall intention is to make the investigation and prosecution of impaired driving offences simpler while respecting the Charter rights of Canadians. It is anticipated that these reforms will have a positive effect on bringing cases to a resolution and reduce delays.

increases maximum prison terms for many impaired driving offences from five years to 10 and gives the Crown the ability to seek dangerous offender designations for dangerous drivers, impaired drivers, hit-and-run drivers and people convicted of fleeing from police.
The bill will create three new impaired driving offences (to do with cannabis), with varying punishments.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving has welcomed the change, saying similar rules in other countries have improved road safety
