Producers in numerous nations can produce goods of steadily superior quality and distribute them to international markets at a competitive price and schedule. They have responded to changing market need and frequently have noticed those needs before the consumer. For this reason, some nations have lost their past advantage in the manufacturer of such goods as radios, televisions, cameras, and ships. How have some companies been able to do this? It is not essentially only because of their way of life, topography, government help, new equipment, or modest work, but because a considerable amount of them practice lean production. Lean production is an attitude that relates to the way a manufacturing company organize and operates its business.
