Now imagine you selected to interview for this job. One question you are guaranteed to be asked by the interviewer is “Do you have any questions for me?”
Step 2: Your assignment is to compose six (6) questions that you would like to ask during the interview using following these guidelines.
o Two questions should focus on the co-op position.
o Two questions should be based on work reflection from other people who are Accounting Associate before.
o Two questions need to be about the company/organization based on a news article that
you’ve read from a reliable source. Be sure to include a link to the on-line source that
that you used to develop your questions. (Refer to B in the box below.)

• Review the employer’s website for recent announcements regarding acquisitions, new
products, services being launched, etc. to see what you can bring up in an interview.
Search for Media Relations or Investor Relations to locate this information.
• Consider “Googling” the company to learn what is being written about them by a
reliable source – WSJ, NY Times, Fortune Magazine, The Boston Globe, etc.
• Letting the interviewer know that you’ve read about the recent changes that have
occurred with their company and/or industry will demonstrate a strong interest in their
organization/industry segment.
• Be sure to avoid controversial subjects or any negative press the employer has
received.
Step #3: Each question should be followed by a brief statement (minimum of 100 words) as to
why you think your questions are interesting and what you are looking to learn by
asking the questions.
Please note that the following questions will be unacceptable for this assignment.
What is a typical day like?
What is the company culture like?
What do you look for in a Co-op candidate?
Do you like working for the company/organization?
