In summer 2016, and again in 2017, the French government has had to contend with individual municipalities throughout France imposing bans on the swimwear worn by Muslim women referred to as the burkini. France’s supreme court has overturned these rules, yet cities continue to pass them and take them to court to fight for their imposition.

Many feel such restrictions are appropriate while many others feel they are unnecessarily discriminatory. In an essay discuss your position on the topic below without using “I believe” or “I think” or “in my opinion”.
