Here, lies the dilemma, because everyone is raised within a diverse social, cultural, religious, and moral background this method of Principlism would have divergent views of what is important, therefore, leading to different outcomes. To rank the importance of each of the four principles could and would change depending on the situation, the healthcare provider and patients world views, religious knowledge and always how each is educated on the issue at hand. In theory, these four principles should hold the same weight however, in today’s medicine it seems that the first principle of autonomy is in most cases that which outweighs all of the other principals. Biblically the person is multi-dimensional, to be thought of and treated as a whole through the mind, body and spirit. God clearly desires that we respect and honor the human lives around us.

God gave us the ability to think and use our conscience to guide us, which as humans given free will and choice, can cause to have weaknesses for sometimes making the wrong moral choices over the right, which should be based on Gods will and not our own. It is not always about the me. The more arduous the ethical resolution, the more it will make us recognizant of the length we have to go, both in our knowledge of self and our emulation of his persona. Therefore, if I were to rank the principals in the importance of value, Justice first and for most would be the number one principle as Psalms 106:3 states, “Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right”, Deuteronomy 16:20 Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the LORD you God is giving you.” Beneficence would be the second principal as scripture writes, “Equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:21 ESV). Third would be Non-maleficence, to do no harm goes hand in hand with the other three principals. And lastly, the one I know not all will agree with me on is the respect of autonomy, we truly cannot have respect for the autonomy of an individual if we do not possess the all the others first.
