Thornhill Gallery Reception Paper

There should be a brief description and an opinion.
Questions to ask:
- What is the subject of the work? still life, portrait, landscape, etc.
- What is the artwork made of? clay, paint, metal, etc.
- What is the style of the artwork? realistic, impressionistic, pop
- Why did the artist make the work they did? personal reasons, reactionary, etc.
- The artist will be there and you may talk to the artist. It might help you gather more information for your essay.
- What do you like/not like about the work? Why???? (There should be several sentences about this.)
Utilize the Elements & Principles of Art Vocabulary extensively.
- Line, Shape, Value, Texture, Form, Color, Space
- Contrast, Balance, Emphasis, Variety, Rhythm, Movement, Repetition, Harmony, Unity
Every time you state your opinion it must be supported by a fact.
You may compare and contrast the two suits.
Include a short introduction (1-3 sentences) and a brief conclusion in your paper.
Rewrite, edit, & proofread your paper
Analyze the Meaning of the Work
All pieces of art share ideas or claims.
Look at:
The purpose of the artist.
The audience.
The way the piece was constructed.
Historical context, when it was produced and when is it viewed.

Everything above is what required by the instructure, I already attended the gallery so just observe the attached pics and write responds and what do you think about some or all of them and put the picture above each reaction about it, make sure that the paper is at least two pages without counting the pictures in them so they will be more than two with the pictures in them
