I have already done my research proposal. My final essay is base on this research, but

the professor had his comment about this research. (Please, see my attached file for this research)

His comment: ” Peer and Self Assessments are incorporated into most courses already, and I’m not really seeing the problem here. The terms are rather vague. What exactly do you mean by peer and self evaluation. What if the student who are better do not want to teach the student who are weaker? What happens if students who are weaker are not receptive to other students teaching them? And what level of education dopes this apply to: elementary, middle school, high school, college? How can educators maintain standards? Are there difficulties employing these method in online education? So this topic needs a lot more specifics.”

Final Research Essay

Topic

This is the culmination of all your efforts for this semester. For this essay, you will take the topic you developed in your Research Proposal and develop it into a fully flushed out Research Essay. In this essay, you will be expected to demonstrate accurate knowledge of thesis development, proper argumentation, proper grammar and punctuation, and MLA Style including in-text and bibliographic citations. This will also be a test of your sentence construction, paragraph construction, and knowledge of the writing process.

Rules for the Research Essay

  • The topic of the research Essay is up to you
    • The topic is subject to my approval; you may go against my criticisms, but you do so at the risk of the grade for this assignment and your Final Research Paper.
    • Choose a topic within your major OR a topic about which you are passionate; if it’s not important to you, the writer, it won’t be important to me, the grader.
    • No abortion papers, no medical marijuana papers (though legalization may be considered), no cloning papers, no papers that would be suitable for a high school English class
  • Your topic requires any combination of the following elements:
    • An argument with one specific subject and one specific treatment;
    • A definition of one specific term or phrase;
    • A comparison and/or contrast with one specific similarity and one specific difference;
    • A cause-and-effect with one specific cause and one specific effect as a focus;
    • An analysis of testimony from one specific source OR a comparison and contrast between two sources with one specific similarity and one specific difference.

Thesis

Your thesis is up to you, but remember it must have any combination of the following elements:

Sources

Sources for the Research Essay must adhere to the following:

  • You must have a minimum of 6, a maximum of 8 sources; you must include at least 3 other print sources.
    • These must have original page numbers from their original publication.
    • You will need at least one Book and at least one Academic Article.
    • Books and E-books must be obtained through the SAC Library.
    • All Academic Journal articles must be obtained through the SAC Library; articles found on EBSCOhost will count as print sources if an only if they are in PDF form.
    • You may use one Media Source such as a documentary or an interview.
    • You may also use one Web-based source such as an HTML document or a Website.
  • NO dictionaries or encyclopedias.Media Sources such as documentaries and interviews are permitted for the Research Proposal; this will change in the Final Research Essay.
  • NO sources obtained through Google and Wikipedia.

Length

The essay should be no longer and no shorter than 8 pages. The Works Cited page does NOT count in the page count.

Basic Requirements for All Formal Academic Papers

For any Formal Academic Essay to receive full credit, it must meet the following requirements. Any derivation will result in a lowering of your essay’s grade:
