Support A High Caliber Workforce

Serves as a Material Handler in the Storage and Distribution Section (MDS), Materiel Branch, Logistics Division. Perform warehouse duties which involve, the processing of receipts, storage, issue, distribute, inventory of medical supplies, forms and publications. Inspect and report overages, shortages and damaged items to the section supervisor. Fully responsible for receipt and testing of bottled gases for purity levels and issues to authorized customers. Inspect purity of the bulk liquid oxygen deliveries to the Hospital. Monitors and replaces cylinders for all piped medical gas systems. Responsible for issue and distribution of class VIII medical supplies to wards, PYXIS supply cabinet customers and other supported unit customers. Support the JRTC mission, Rotational units, Army Reserves, National Guard, ROTC units and activities on the installation. Ensures only authorized personnel verifies and initials the documentation for issued quantity and nomenclature of all needles. Must follow established safety rules, procedures, promptly addressing allegations of noncompliance, program management and responsibilities, IAW AR 385-10, the Army Safety Program. Uses DMLSS for supply inventory and supply generated issues. Complete daily task and duties, all the above should be accomplished with a target of 85% effectively. • COMPLETE TASKS WITH NO MORE THAN 4 NON-COMPLIANCE ISSUES IN THIS RATING PERIOD

Pyxis and DMLSS Processing

Download process, and check for restrictions in DMLSS’s for individual wards and clinics of all Class VIII supplies daily before 0900. Pyxis cabinets will maintain a neat and orderly appearance at all times. Ensure all Pyxis machines are fully stocked with items stored in the Material Distribution Section (MDS), stock is properly rotated, inventoried and expiration dates inputted in the system for accountability purposes. Check Pyxis machines, to ensure all item ID’s are current and the orders are properly received and processed in DMLSS. (Target 90%) DMLSS will be checked constantly to ensure all external clinics and rotational units are pulled and palletized ready for shipment and or pickup daily. Customer Support

Provide customer assistance for Class VIII medical materiel support to internal, external, Active Duty and Reserve Soldiers rotating throughout the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) annually. Assist customers in researching supply status issues using transaction history and receipts. Provide safe Drivers to facilitate the distro of all Lab specimens and samples by 0930 daily. (Target 80%) • COMPLETE TASKS WITH NO MORE THAN 4 NON-COMPLIANCE ISSUES IN THIS RATING PERIOD

Warehouse Management

Responsible for processing procurement transaction for medical and non-medical supplies; Review, edit and process requisitions and purchase request, ensure they have been approved, process data entries in the Defense Medical Logistics Supply Systems (DMLSS). Maintain warehouse area, assigned rows, Location survey and all medical gases. Ensure inventory is properly rotated, expirations checked and area is neat, clean and dress right dress. Inventory individual rows 1400 daily making sure shelf counts and the DMLSS system match making corrections and adjustments as needed. Material Handler will be responsible for the proper storage, monitoring and distribution of all Temperature Sensitive Medical Products (TSMP). (Target 80%) • COMPLETE TASKS WITH NO MORE THAN 4 NON-COMPLIANCE ISSUES IN THIS RATING PERIOD

Know the limits of your authority and accept responsibility for your actions and decisions. – You are a direct reflection of MDS and the Logistics Division of Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital and must conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. – Display professionalism whenever speaking to anyone, makes sure that you address them appropriately. If anyone request anything that you feel is unreasonable, don’t get argumentative. Bring it to your supervisor so we can come up with a solution together. • NO MORE THAN 2 DOCUMENTED NON-COMPLIANCES ISSUES DURING THIS RATING PERIOD.

Accountability

Attendance: All accountability is done at 0800 every morning; all personnel assigned must be present and or accounted for. If for some reason you are running late, or have a last minute tasking call and let me know your status. • COMPLETE TASKS WITH NO MORE THAN 2 NON-COMPLIANCE ISSUES IN THIS RATING PERIOD TRAINING: It is ultimately your responsibility to maintain and renew mandatory requirements such as quarterly training and your CAF Folder. You must be present at any required meetings, scheduled duty and training. It is my intent to make sure everyone in the section is trained in all basic aspects of operations, so that if someone is out. All training must be completed within 5 days of notice. • COMPLETE TASKS WITH NO MORE THAN 2 NON-COMPLIANCE ISSUES IN THIS RATING PERIOD
