30 Points 50 Points Des Cuny New York City Colleg

The idea we havefor the product was a machine made by a pen. Basically people can use the product to relax, and release their pressure based on their day to day bases.

For us like University students, we have a lot of pressure from course work. Then we could use it as a way to release our pressure.

Please write the project base on the rubric I provided.

Reminder: each student makes their own process book.

90% of final project grade: process book.
10% of final project grade: prototypes + critiques (in discussion & final lecture meeting).

Process book must be submitted in person before 9 am on the day of the last lecture.
It must also be submitted in PDF format – file size no greater than 10 mb – to Canvas
following the deadline posted there. You may need to compress your pdf to meet the
file size limitations. Many free online compression tools are available. I urge everyone
to use an ethernet connection, not wireless (campus computer centers) to submit files.

DEADLINES / late penalty (without excused absence)

Turned in to Canvas as digital copy before deadline (-5 if not in within 8 hours of deadline; -10 if
not in within 24 hours of deadline – maximum possible loss 10 points)

Turned in to TA as physical copy before deadline (-10 if not)

REQUIRED PAGES – CHECKLIST

  • Identifying information on outer cover or title page (first interior page, including:
    name of your design, your name, date due, DES 001, Prof. Housefield; other
    information optional);
  • Team page as first page following cover or title page;
  • MLA style bibliography of relevant sources including all sources cited as
    penultimate page (penultimate = last before “About me” page); must use correct
    MLA 8th edition format for bibliographies;
  • About me as a designer page as the last page before back cover (This is a brief
    biographical sketch that focuses on your interests or career goals, preferably in
    relation to design. Look at examples on LinkedIn and designers’ websites for
    inspiration. A professionally acceptable “headshot” photo or sketch like you
    might use on LinkedIn would be welcome here but is not required.)
    CITATION FORMAT
    Use parenthetical MLA 8th edition style in-text references at the end of each relevant
    sentence in your writing to refer to sources from your research. Your goal should be to
    integrate research references into at least 50% of the pages of your process book.
    Additionally, the penultimate page of your process book should use the MLA style
    bibliography of relevant sources including all sources cited – must use correct MLA 8th
    edition format for bibliographies (note that parenthetical in-text citations and
    bibliographies use different formatting). Purdue OWL has a useful MLA guide:
